FiNiX … are ya feelin’ a little ditsy? wink

Simpleman … man it is cold where you are … thank God I am in Texas. The only kind of boots I have are the ones that slip and slide and are made of leather. :-)

It’s not that bad… you get used to it I guess… I live on the water though so the veiw is great in the morning…

Avatar foundmissing 37 post(s)

On the water? Cool … this may sound ignorant but I have never been up north … does the water freeze enough to skate on it? If so, do ya?

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

It’s not ignorant at all. It does freeze in the winter but I don’t skate… Never got around to learning…

Avatar foundmissing 37 post(s)

umm … chop chop … you are 18 … it is about time you get adventureous. Of course, do not go alone and at night …

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

Yeah, drowing would be a bad thing I think…

Avatar foundmissing 37 post(s)

That IS one of my fears. The movies make it seem peaceful … speaking of movies, do you have a favorite? Hey, do you have a myspace?

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

I don’t really have a favorite I guess… I did like 300 though… No I don’t have a myspace. Lame I know…But I like talking to people face to face more than over a computer… Although it does seem like a good way to meet new people.

Avatar foundmissing 37 post(s)

300? Really? It was okay. I do LIKE Gerard Butler. He was in the movie, Phantom of the Opera.

It isn’t lame. Face to face is GOOD. Myspace is just away to express yourself. I believe you said you like poetry. A lot of people like to write and love poetry and express their interests on there. It is just a way to get connected with people that share the same interests.

Have you written poems?

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

I tried my had at it once and it didn’t work that well so I think I might just remain a appreciator to that art.

Avatar foundmissing 37 post(s)

I wrote a poem … it is about my internet friends.

Dear Friend,

I have stumbled over a comforting world within.
Which I feel endless tides of people’s emotions.
I see they share my hatred that I hold selfishly in.
Without fear, I catch their waves, and ride the motions.

I journey through their tearful storms of pain.
And share the darkness that eats them from inside.
It begins from their heart, working to their veins.
Rushing to their thoughts, making sure love has died.

During my adventure, I am sure You understand,
In this same world, darkness is also forced to hide.
I’ve witnessed the gray clouds disappear as planned,
And You’re holding my peers, leaving everything aside.

Many times, I’ve cursed You for not listening to me.
I’ve asked, why leave me alone to fearfully drown?
But being here, I have realized, You’ve never let me be.
From above, like a parent, You’ve been looking down.

When needed, You would hand me nails of bravery.
Making sure, when I fall, I learn to build a faithful boat.
Now I have sketches to share, so my peers can ride safely.
Then, I get on my knees and thank You for keeping us afloat.

If it weren’t for this world I have stumbled across,
I would not have experienced You teaching me,
That in our chaotic lives, we are never lost.
You are always there, watching us so carefully.

With Love,
Your Servant

I changed the subject of this thread, didn’t I? DOH!

My daughter wrote the following poem at the age of 10. She wrote it after her father and I split.

Drowning Love

When all was right and just seemed perfect.
Love was drowing, as days, months, years passed in time.
It drowned slower and slower, until it hit bottom and broke.
The pieces flew in anger.
Cupids arrows appeared to try to calm everything.
Nothing.
Love just died.
Tears go by.
Then love reappears in a new relationship.
It can either die by drowning or, ... it can grow old.

Thank you. (curtsy)

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

That’s sad… Why did you spilt? If it’s not to personal.
