I have loved the Cars since I was bout 12… I am pretty proud of my vinyl collection of their albums now 16 years later… The local radio station started playing on of Ocasek’s solo songs lately that I haven’t heard before… It’s pretty sweet… sounds like newer punk/ska/alternative… I can see where Weezer and No Doubt got their sound from now…

I thought the Cars were OK, but not like, super. And, I think Ric Ocasek is very talented. I understand he has produced albums for many other people since the Cars, besides working solo. I just haven’t pursued his work, sorry, hon…
