I told ldsgal I’d start a topic like this. I know very little about using a computer. I’ve confessed my ignorance several times and you all have been so helpful! I just don’t understand much yet. Let’s use this forum to help each other with some of those little details, like how do I turn it on? (lol)

For example, there is a thread about avatars somewhere. How would i go about changing my avatar to one that reflects my royal bloodline? We’ve never gotten around to that family crest thing because I killed off all of the relatives (no usurpers to my throne, baby!). But avatars, I want a kitty cat! or a squirrel or maybe a rat to display my loyalty to my religion! How do we do it? Can you help? You may have all that one man can carry from the royal treasury for your trouble. Oh, it’s down there, very close to the palace sewage system, looks kinda like a dungeon, don’t be fooled, though. (heh heh heh)

I’ll start with finding the desired image. If you have any questions or if you’re ready to move on to turning the image into an avatar, please relpy.

First, use google image search to find the desired image, then right click on the image and select “save as,” and then select the folder in which you want to store the image, and then click “save.”

Once you have the image, then what?

go to http://site.gravatar.com/ , sign up for a gravatar, and upload the desired image. Take care that you use the same email address when signing up for gravatar.com as you did when signing up for this site.

I’m just here to show off my new kitty cat avatar. I followed the instructions faithfully. It didn’t work. But the next day, I came on the site and I was a kitty. It’s actually two kitties, there’s a little black one in the bottom corner. He’ll be Lil’ Blackie, the white one, Sheba, because she’s royalty, like me! So, I have computer power, just didn’t realize how powerful I was, I guess!

So, now, the new reply feature, our gift from the admin. How do I use it? Do I want to use it? Puhleeze help a lady in distress…

kookoo, to use the reply button, just click on it. it will show the other persons quote and then your reply to it. By the way, how do you post videos and stuff without making the people go to a link?

You will have to copy the HTML code and paste it in your post. For instance if you are on youtube the have a little are next to the video that says “embed” and has some code in a box… copy and paste… Pictures you will have to upload to a picture hosting site such as photobucket… they will have 3 or 4 options to use to put your pic on different pages… play around with it till it works!!!
