All delicious.

If you like mellower scotch, try Royal Lochnager. It’s a sherry casked Highland- good stuff. Kinda like a Glenmorangie, but a little fruity.

My favorite is Laphroig, but I like that really intense, peaty, medicinal bite. That type works better if you’re smoking a really heavy duty pipe tobacco or cigar- tends to cut through it a bit better.

The great thing about scotch is it’s all different.
Trying to remember- you’re in CO, right? Go hit the Wynkoop in LoDo. Tons o’ scotches.

I do enjoy a good pipe tobacco as well… I shall try out your suggestions in the future…

I do live in Colorado… what the hell is LoDo??

Good Lord, man- Lower Downtown. Do you never venture into Denver? It’s a sh**hole, to be sure, but the Wynkoop is one of the best spots to sample single malt I’ve ever found.

While you’re down there, check out Edward’s Pipe Shop on Federal and (approx.) Hwy. 285. Some of the finest natural, hand- blended pipe tobaccos to be found.

Sometimes I miss living there.

AH I see… No I don’t get to Denver much… It’s about 7 hours away and I don’t have a car… Thanks for the scoop though…

Allright, you sly fox, caught you in Denver about 4 to 5 weeks ago. Who, oh, sorry, I mean What were you doing there and did you hitchhike? (in the winter? No! Don’t stick THAT out there, it will freeze right off!) So, were you drinking Scotch in Denver during that lost weekend? (gotta keep it topical).

I’m not much of a Scotch man, nor for the pipe tobacco, altho I like the smell. I can kinda get that thru incense, though. There’s only one or two things that I pack into pipes (quick! name them for a special prize when certain people are off paper!!) I don’t like most whiskeys, wherever they come from. I like tequila, vodka, schnapps (such as Jagermeister, any shot that goes with a beer is called schnapps by us German folk), brandy, and many different liquers. If I had to choose a favorite whiskey, it would be Jameson’s Irish Whiskey. That is a New Year tradition with me. Plus, a little Irish Coffee never hurt anyone…

Aye I was in Denver I did have to hitch a ride but these days it’s as simple as typing an e-mail… found someone in my bank that was heading up there and willing to give me a lift… As for what I did up there… no drinking… just some chemical enlightenment ;) Had a spectacular time with some really quality people… The scotch has all come about since then… I do enjoy Jagger also, usually only on blustery winter days…takes the chill right out…

Jamie’s is great stuff, Koo. Throw a little smoky taste in there, and you’ve basically got scotch. Most Irish whisky is like that. Only downside? The Irish Whisky Consortium is owned by…g-d…a French company. In the name of all that is Holy, how can that happen?

Oh, yeah. The EU.
