Now that we have the power to do it, I will suggest that certain threads may want to be eliminated. However, they won’t talk to me. I ask them and ask them, they sit there mocking me with their one or two (or more) posts, absolutely mute!

So, perhaps all of you may have some ideas on which threads may merit such a final solution. If you can point us there with a link, all the better (which I can’t do, back to the lab, kook!) I already have some suggestions of my own, but I will wait till I learn how to do the link thingie.

Post some suggestions, we should to do some housekeeping here, it is somewhat unmanageable at this time, especially when there are fewer users (Tron-speak)here right now.

Well maybe there are some threads out there that could be deleted but I will have to spend a few days finding them… It’s a bout 3:33 am and I’m just not up to it at this point….

The thought that annaone would DARE to delete any thread in which the genius of my intellect is displayed is shocking…erm…ok…there aren’t any…delete away…

Oh, I agree, it will take some time to do this. I have appointments this am, but will work on this over the next few weeks.

There are some threads that haven’t been active since december so why not delete those?

Well, one reason NOT to delete some of them, light, is that you are finding some and bringing them up to date. I’ve noticed this in your past few posts. If we delete some, it will be for a good reason. Are there any in particular that you think are candidates for deletion? Let us know what you think. Of course, YOU have the power to delete any thread that you started.

You’re right, and i am sorry for my negligence. I am aware that I can delete the threads that i started (i learned it by accidentally placing my mouse over it.) And no threads spring to mind at the moment but if i think of any i’ll post as soon as i can.

i just re-checked that thread, he’s “camping” in a hotel playing “magic the gathering” or some such thing. I don’t know…leaving all this to go have fun with your friends? There’s actually a lot of value in having older threads available, especially here, what with the GSLU braintrust we’ve established, and all.

Best way: have Admin set up an “Archive” board. Visible to users. Move inactive threads there, and then lock them. It leaves them available as a reference source.

I’m putting this on hold for now. Keep an eye on it, though.

Satol, the mods can now lock threads, I’m gonna lock this one for the hell of it to see how it works.

P.S. When you go to the locked thread, it says “locked” in gray. If you’re looking at the section, there is a cute little padlock next to the locked thread. Awww… That is one way we could archive them ourselves? If someone wanted to reply, they could start a new thread or ask for an unlock in an “Unlock” thread. Confusing, though…
