HI…Sorry, I have been really busy.

When Christ told His disciples that He would be coming on the clouds, that is ethereal language, the same language was used in the Old Testament signifying God’s wrath or judgment.

When He explains to His disciples that when people say go here or there, do not believe. He told them the manner of His return. “On the clouds”.

He speaks of how establishing His Kingdom is not a physical kingdom but a Heavenly Kingdom, one that exists within the hearts of believers.

If the Kingdom is Spiritual, then His return and reign was Spiritual as well. I am sorry I don’t have more time now to give all the Scripture references, but I will as soon as I have more time. I just wanted to touch base and let you know that I wasn’t avoiding the question.

Christ explained to His disciples that His return would be a “spiritual” one. His return in Judgment occurred in 70 A.D. at the destruction of the Herodian temple.

im not doubting anything actually. I was just curious. The messianic prophecies basically say that there was to be a messiah right? If so I do bellieve in that :)))

Sorry, Pret- missed this.

No, raised Anglican, became a gnostic in something of the modern neo- gnostic “Sophian” sense.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to have some good religious mentors/ friends, many of whom are Jewish, and a couple of which are rabbis. While originally a Christian Cabbalist, I had occasion to study Torah and Talmud with these gentlemen, and have gained some insight as to the Judaic view of Judaism (which we generally misunderstand as Christians) as well as having been able to correct some misunderstandings they had about Christianity. In addition, ongoing coursework with an esoteric Order has helped with learning some bits and pieces of the Hebrew language, as well as some of the cultural background on the “meanings within meanings” of that language.

Christianity, IMO, was originally meant as more of a reform of Judaism, rather than a whole new religion, which is where my views tend to come from.

Sorry…Hadn’t noticed any responses to this thread. Anne Rice was an atheist. It was after she became a Christian that she started doing research for a new book that she realized for herself that the Preterist belief was historically accurate for her.

Yep.

“Christ” is a title, as Arandur said, “the annointed one.” Technically, the “Son of G-d” bit would be the Christian adaptation- Judaism doesn’t technically believe the Messiah to be the Son of G-d, at least not in the same sense.
