I think it means that even though mankind continues to mess with nature and create diseases like HIV and Cancer, the one God still will love us… just like he gave us his only son to show true love.

the way Clostridium loves extremities with poor circulation.

It means that we are God within us. We are His children and He Is our Father. We cannot change the fact that there really is a creator. We ourselves could have never have made anything without the knowledge first, of A Wonderful Creator. Otherwise things would be so messed up as it is sometimes when we do not seek how God feels about things before we go on with our lives with out Him. God gave us His only begotten Son so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. IT IS up to US to ACCEPT HIS SON JESUS Within Our Heart, Mind and Soul. Do you ever stop to think about His Name? JESUS! The Name includes US!!!

Mankind didn’t create cancer. Cancer is our own bodies gone wrong. Yes, we can make it more likely and our pollutants exacerbate the problem, but if anything, G-d created cancer inherent in our genes. We aren’t meant to live forever.

Nor did we create AIDSAIDS created itself through billions of tiny, single peptide mutations. We just created the catastrophic epidemic.

I think, “G-d still loves us” means: despite our self- and other-destruction.

Avatar Fiji 14 post(s)

Of course we didn’t create cancer somthing went wrong somthing unexpected and now we are finding a cure. Of course we didn’t create AIDS either some people had unprotected intercourse and contracted it themselves. Of course God loves us it’s not a question if he still loves us he always does somtimes though when people “sin” he might send down his might on the people and the people may think it’s all his fault but really we are the ones at Fault. Jesus is his son he tried to deliver us and he did but died in the process. Jesus is the son of god and you can choose to accept it or not so don’t yell. In conclusion God is stil here and God is still watching God will always be there God will always care so don’t stop beliving just because somthing bad happens.

A merciful, loving God gives us plagues, diseases, viruses and the ilk just to repay us for torturing and nailing his son to a cross perhaps?
Ah! The mercifulness! He could have just crushed us all but he loved us so! What a nice deity!

Perhaps a dove and some other pleasant idealistic imagery would have worked better?

As an aside, there is a group of homosexuals that use the biohazard symbol to represent their love for RECIEVING, HAVING and TRANSMITTING AIDS.

this message means, to me, that i am still appreciated by my creator even though i don’t deserve it. i spend my life pushing him away sometimes and always feel as if i don’t do enough to show my love and respect.

knowing that God STILL loves me after all the sht that i do puts me into a state of mind that helps me get through the day more ofthen than not. having found this website, i know that i am not alone and will do my best to change my ways through both prayer and action.

i do notice that evil has crept into this site, though, which is a constant reminder of how there are equal sides to everything in our world. some people prefer to live in the dark parts of the world where corruption is rewarded and yet feel they have a right to question God. i would just like to let them know that he is listening, and just like any parent, just wants you to come back home.

People are not evil just because they believe something you do not.

Call be a cynic – but this means that Time Warner has a movie coming out (Time Warner is one of the corporate sponsors of the contest) and they want some buzz.

My (cynical) guess is that a virus is released by some evangelical Christian.

I’d love to be wrong.

God’s love is unconditional. It always has been and always will be. He hasn’t turned a blind eye on us or abandoned the unfaithful no matter how often He is spoken against. God loves homosexuals, prostitutes, thieves, murderers, and even those who willfully turn their backs to Him, forsake Him, and ridicule His word. Let us not forget that Jesus never turned away any man or woman. He never discriminated because someone wasn’t good enough to walk by His side. His own apostles were a motley crew that included a prostitute, a tax collector, and other unsavory characters. To say God still loves us often means to be ridiculed in this day and age, yet all of us are still loved, and despite what sins we may have comitted, despite our baggage and imperfections, none of us are unworthy to come back, learn the way, and experience His grace. The door remains open to all.

As for the biohazard, I dunno. Maybe it signifies that grace is something that can spread, and some don’t want anything to do with it. Some people avoid religion like the plague.
That’s my take on it.

I would like to point out that the name “Jesus” is spelled in this manner only in English, Spanish and a very few other languages. Only in English is the “us” part a actual word. The letters “us” only means us in the English language, not in other languages. How will a play on words convince us of god’s love? And I have news for all of you, evil has not crept onto this site, just a healthy view of reality! (I would like to know, however, just how evil ((a concept)) has the ability to creep) Well, now that I think about it, I suppose reality can’t creep either.

Avatar Simpleman 54 post(s)

Only one person said evil had “creep” into this site. And that person probably shouldn’t be taken that seriously if their main reason for faith is, as you said, a play on words.

Avatar Fiji 14 post(s)

Why are we still debating (kind of) if all of us know that gods love is unconditional. Sigh* I suppose that it’s natural human nature… Everybody has a diffrent veiw on faith I think that we should all stop posting here. I guess that’s all I wanted to say. God loves you all.

So im glad to see something like this creating all these thoughts and ideas about faith and art and the whole bit, but what i dont understand is why is it all photoshop? i think it’d be better if people made stencils and actually got out there and spread the message. maybe im too much of a tradionalist though. Doing this project in photoshop just seems to show that people think it would be cool to put something out in these locations but wouldnt actually do it. Isnt that the endless issue of evangelism anyways? in my experience with evangelism, people are always looking for the easy way out…i know thats what ive done in the past. yeah im a christian but im not going to risk asking someone about their faith because i could get embarressed, thats what this site is saying to me, only in the artistic form. If you want to make a difference go out there and throw that stencil up on a freeway overpass, that might actually accomplish affecting people. im all for challenging thought, and i think this site is doing a great service by creating that conversation, but lets face it, arguing about the religion of things is pretty much a waste of time. Act on your faith instead of waiting for something to happen.

I’m not a religious person but this meme has meaning to me. Maybe God really does still love us.

I really hope this is used to illustrate something meaningful, and not some schlock movie. It would be cooler if it weren’t photoshopped that’s true, but graffiti is no picnic I guess.

The biohazard symbol juxtaposed with the statement “God still loves us” struck me as being a reminder of no matter how horrible things have become in the world, God still loves humanity. No matter how much pollution, bioweapons, war, or whatever horrible things we create, God is still there with open arms to help us if we ask.

Edit: Now that I think about more, the biohazard really grabs people’s attention. Maybe it is also a representation of God yelling at us, saying “Hey, I love you!”

You know what it means to me? That nothing is sacred.

I came here, because I saw an intriguing juxtaposition; the biohazard symbol and a message regarding ‘God’. I could find absolutely no explanation as to this site. No one knew. Just a few random proposals about what it all meant, a contest and some admittedly awesome art.

But I read the contest rules. GSLU Inc? Can’t find reference to it anywhere else on the net. Ah! But Time Warner and perhaps more damningly, ePrize LLC. So, tell me, what does Time Warner have to do with God? And why might they be sponsoring a contest about it, and hiring a promotional company?

This stinks – reeks – of corporate manipulation. Is our art not sacred? Is our spirituality not, either? For the love of all that is good, are our universally accepted warning symbols not sacred?

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. This is surely the path to hell, paved with corporate intentions.

I was equally intrigued with the symbol and statement in an ad I saw on deviantart.com. Until my posts start being edited and or deleted I don’t care who is paying for the sight and promotion. If one person gets saved from this forum than it will certainly be worth my time posting on here. God works in mysterious ways. PLUR

your company is based in la/socal and is contracting with a subsidiary of time warner, that’s about it. wow, the future of internet marketing, it’s viral! can’t be arsed to spend more time on it, hope your promo goes well.

free gear is great though, I have no problem with any of this, other than somebody being retarded enough to take it seriously. ‘you tell us what i means to you…”, omg wtf spooky! wowness!

To me the biohazard symbolizes the hazard of believing that a deity still loves you even when you destroy the earth.
It is time for humanity to set aside this oversimplified view of deity.

Avatar ratboy Moderator 1,196 post(s)

the deity is actually indifferent to what we humans do…as it doesn’t exist…

Avatar mistertrogdor 4 post(s)

It means that God still loves us, Even if we nuke his one great gift, called life.

Avatar ratboy Moderator 1,196 post(s)

yes…he might see the humour in it…

AL, just saw this post for first time, must be one of your first ones, remember I came from atheists.com, but when I just read it, I thought it said deviant tart.com, had to read it again, but got a chuckle out of it. I am busy going through “history” today…

rb, guess this should be on GIRLS topic, but I AM a deviant tart.

synesthetic, that’s an interesting statement, can you expound on that a little?
