Though clearly a pro- Israel site, the numbers are actually pretty damned accurate. As to Palestine not being their land…well…yes, it is. Us and the British gave it to them.

And yes, I’m an Israel supporter, for several reasons, and believe we should continue backing them.

However, I do think that ec has a right to his opinion as all of you do, too???? His facts seem correct, the land thing is debatable, the Israelis’ intent is debatable, the Lebanon thing is debatable. I did question them. I pointed out how incredibly one-sided they were, considering that the anti-Jew terrorism and general sentiment in the Middle East is so strong, vocal, plainly spoken, and uncompromising. Sure, we could debate those things you mention as debatable. But what isn’t debatable is that the Arabs of the region are at least as hateful. Also, yes, most of the facts listed on that site are correct. You could debate the spin, but considering the pre-1948 Jewish settlements and many significant offers to compromise, it seems to me hard to argue that the typical Arab anti-Israeli position is justified, and hard to argue that the Israelis haven’t been attempting to come to a reasonable agreement.

Aran, Please re-examine your reply. Where is your question in this? Periods are the only punctuation in it. You called ec a jew-hating conspiracy theorist with no grasp of history or reality, did you not? At least, looks that way to me… You could have handled this in a better manner…

OK, I’m weighing in… ec is right, the website is pretty much bullshit. Clearly designed to get the U.S. to go after Iran. If we do, whoever is President at the time should be executed immediately. Unfortunately, that remedy is not constitutional.

Hey, I said their spin is pretty strong and is highly debatable. But most of their facts they’ve cited and I’ve seen before – in history books, CIA factbooks, Foreign Policy magazine, and the Journal of Foreign Affairs. Their facts are right, and don’t support most of their detractors. They do support the reality that they’ve been trying to compromise and come to peaceful agreements for many, many years only to be slapped in the face repeatedly.

Well I am pleased to see that we got a lively debate sparked up here… I concede that the site puts a pro Israeli spin on the information contained but am in Arandur’s camp in that the info in NOT bullshit. I also have seen this backed up by numerous government reports and other verifiable sources. I understand what propaganda is and think my main point was that our “news” in this country is just so much propaganda….
