I have been gone for a while
can anyone tell me what has happened lately?

Hi Charles! Welcome back! Well, let’s see, Since january 21st, huh?

Some other minor didn’t win the contest, either (Maybe because he was a minor, duh?), so he came on the site on Feb. 1st and spammed us up and down. Admin. took care of it (quite quickly, actually) then made absoluteliquid, ratboy and myself moderators for the site.

Then he came back from a different computer and did it again about two weeks ago. This time admin. tracked him down, found out he was using his mother’s computer, contacted her and she put the fear of god into him and we received a written apology from the young man. The result is that the moderators now have a bit more power than before.

ratboy has gone missing, haven’t heard from him in a month. I’ll be posting a topic on that soon if someone hasn’t already.

Some new discussions are going on, I posted one on atheism that’s getting a lot of hits.

nothing is too new with me, I’ve just been busy with schoolshivers any i realized that I haven’t been on here in a while. also i have to say i am surprised that there isn’t a I AM LEGEND banner on here any more(which i liked better than what they have now). and I just want to give congrats to the winner(awesome picture they have) and i was curious about one thing:
Besides posters in the movie, how else is GSLU tied with IAL?

I’ve been on rather sporadically for the past two weeks, my work schedule has been absolute hell, even on weekends (for sure, shiver, I ain’t used to that crap, I’m a 9 to 5ver kind of person). I owe dex (a new guy) a reply and haven’t even done that yet either. Hey, he’s a youth minister, aren’t you a youth? (now say it 10 times fast!) Go find his topic and see if you can reply. It’s called What Should We Do? I’ll get back to you with a more exact location (eventually), but it is in the top or second section of topics. I’m having trouble thinking of a good reply, being an atheist doesn’t help because he’s obviously godfearing and I don’t know how to answer his questions. Yeah, dex, embrace atheism! But I did promise him that I would reply, so I will. I thought you might like to check it out, too. I’m gonna hit his topic later and mention that I was talking about him over here.

Now, the IAL thing, I just don’t know… (and you’d think I would, if anyone! lol) None of us really know what the connection was or is to the movie. There are lots of theories, take a complete tour of the site when you have a chance and you will see them. Since the contest and the movie’s premiere, the GSLU website continues. The Admin. has said that no one will take this site away from us. And it is one of the coolest sites I have ever been on. The users have a lot of power here. This belongs to all of us and we can shape it any way we like, talk about what we like, etc. As you know, we all have much respect for each other here.

But, tell ya what I’m gonna do, I need to email Admin. about some other stuff, and I am going to ask them about it to see if they have anything to say. We’ve never really asked them on the site, either. Well, some have, but they were rather rude sometimes and i wouldn’t have replied, either, were I Admin. But that was way back in history (90 or more days! lol), so maybe they’re willing to tell us more about it now.

They tell us the site is here to stay, I have to believe them, they have always been truthful with us. So, enjoy yourself on the site, I’ll report back to you. Plus, Admin. may tell us about it here on the site, you never know… btw, chosetec (contest winner) has been hanging out lately, too. Check out the rest of his pics, that was one of a series from a video that he made about IAL and GSLU. Again, good to see you, buddy!

This is all true and valid… this is still to me one of the coolest sites on the web… we do all respect each other here despite our VERY different outlooks on life and religion… and it is so much cooler that the admins gave us moderator rights to help shape and form our site the way we(Kookoo, Ratboy, [I do miss him so…] and I) see fit…. I so DO hope they never take it away from us… I have so much more that I feel that I want to post here and have not yet…(my life has been in turmoil for the last 3 months) but will get to it some time or another…Good to have you back and to all the rest of you that have held strong: PLUR
